Skin care for eczema
Minimize bathing in both duration and frequency
Minimize soap; unscented moisturizing bar soaps preferable, avoid liquid soaps, lotion soaps, gel soaps, for soiled diaper areas, cleaning with moisturizing lotion on toilet tissue preferable to “wipes”; it is effective and is kinder to both the baby and the caregiver
minimize use of washcloths or loofahs or other devices use warm, rather than very hot, water moisturize after bathing and as frequently as possible during the day
Treatment for severe atopic dermatitis.
